Alyssa E. Fanning was born in Teaneck, NJ. She received her BFA from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and her MFA from Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ. Fanning has exhibited at spaces including Newark Museum, Newark, NJ; White Box, New York, NY; TSA, Brooklyn, NY; Geoffrey Young Gallery, Great Barrington, MA; LABspace, Hillsdale, NY and internationally at Teckningsmuseet, Laholm, Sweden, among others.  Her curatorial projects include exhibitions at ABC No Rio, New York, NY; Silent Space Gallery, Kingston, NY; Radiator Gallery, Queens, NY; Platform Project Space, Brooklyn, NY; and Eagle Studio, Brooklyn, NY, among others. She has been published in BOMB Magazine, GreenpointersHyperallergic, Two Coats of Paint and The New York Times. Fanning is an adjunct professor of drawing and design at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ. She will have a solo exhibition of drawings opening June 2021 at Platform Project Space, Brooklyn, NY.
